Assist in maintenance of City parks, trails, facilities, recreational areas and downtown public spaces.
Learn to operate a variety of equipment including, utility vehicles, hand tools, power tools.
Clean and remove trash from all areas of the park including shelters and restroom facilities.
Assist with horticulture maintenance (shrub beds, flower beds, specialty gardens).
Assist with irrigation maintenance and repairs.
Apply chemical/herbicides with required training.
May help with snow removal.

POSITION TITLE: PARKS UTILITY WORKER – Variable Hour Employee
Schedules vary from part-time to full-time and may include over-time, weekends, and holidays.
Working under the supervision of a crew leader, the employee will work outdoors in a variety of conditions.
Will wear proper safety gear including, but not limited to, safety-toed boots, safety glasses and ear protection as required.
Will attend weekly staff meetings and safety meetings as scheduled.
